Back to School with The Grandmothers – October

Join us for Back to School with The Grandmothers, our Fall lecture series! Our special guest is Adzi Vokhiwa is the Vice President of Policy at Community Justice, where she leads the planning and execution of federal and state policy and advocacy campaigns, as well as public awareness initiatives to mobilize stakeholders. Prior to her current role, she served as the Federal Affairs Director at GIFFORDS, the gun violence prevention organization founded by Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. We plan to learn about Community Violence Intervention programs (CVI) with a Q&A to follow. CVI programs community-centered approaches to prevent violence by connecting at-risk individuals with support, trauma services, and resources to de-escalate conflicts and prevent cycles of harm. All are welcome, please share with your friends!
